LAST CHANCE: STAN SQUIREWELL AT CLAIRE OLIVER

Harlem Bespoke: This is the last week to check out the sold-out exhibit of Stan Squirewell at the Claire Oliver Gallery in Central Harlem.  Each piece by the contemporary black artist is a mixed media collage with a depth of texture interwoven with history that must be seen in-person. Who That Is?, the debut exhibition of new works by artist Stan Squirewell at Claire Oliver Gallery will be extended through, Saturday June 11th.

The exhibition sold out on opening day with a large-scale work being aquired by the artist’s first museum.  Claire Oliver Gallery moved after 30 years in West Chelsea to an uptown townhouse on 2288 Adam Clayton Powell just south of 135th Street and has since created a buzz in the art world with new black artists on the scene after the sensational 2020 first Harlem exhibit featuring the quilt work of Bisa Butler.    Who That Is? is a free exhibit and open to the public with no RSVP required.  More details can be found on the Claire Oliver website: LINK
