Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, 12:00PM-6:00PM, Sin Frontera Cuban Contemporary Engravings at Taller Boricua Gallery, 1680 Lexington Avenue, between East 105th and East 106th streets. Engraving in Cuba has a great, long and rich tradition. To cite a few examples, we may examine the views of Havana taken by the English, the tobacco labels (maquilas) of the 19th century, and books such as the “Picturesque Trip Around the Island of Cuba” by Eduardo Laplante; all crafted as lithographs. Call in advance to confirm gallery hours. More information can be found on the Taller Boricua site: LINK
