Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, 12:00PM-6:00PM, Borderless exhibition and Sin Frontera Cuban Contemporary Engravings at Taller Boricua Gallery, 1680 Lexington Avenue, between East 105th and East 106th streets. Engraving in Cuba has a great, long and rich tradition. To cite a few examples, we may examine the views of Havana taken by the English, the tobacco labels (maquilas) of the 19th century, and books such as the “Picturesque Trip Around the Island of Cuba” by Eduardo Laplante; all crafted as lithographs. LAST CHANCE: BORDERLESS AT TALLER BORICUA
Harlem Bespoke: Uptown's arts organization are cautiously getting back to normal and now one East Harlem cultural institution has opened doors once more. The Taller Boricua gallery in El Barrio is located within a landmark school building and currently has an exhibit on the history of the famous institution. The latest exhibition ends this weekend on January 6th.
