Dana Discovery Center, at 110th Street between Lenox and Fifth Avenues.  Celebrate the season at our Annual Holiday Lighting in Central Park. Meet Santa and friends, sing carols on the Plaza, watch an ice-carving demonstration and take part in other seasonal festivities.

EAT: TERANGA NOW OPEN ON WEEKENDS

Harlem Bespoke:   Some might be wondering what the hours for Teranga at Africa Center are all about these days since the location is mainly closed for most of the week.  The end of summer update is that the Harlem location will be open on weekends and so that is definitely the time to drop by for some fantastic African offerings.

BESPOKE KIDS: HALLOWEEN FLOTILLA AT THE MEER

Harlem Bespoke:  The Central Park Conservancy presents the 2022 Halloween Pumpkin Flotilla! The popular annual event is free and will feature lots of kid-friendly activities such as pumpkin carving, arts & crafts, spooky storytelling, a costume parade, a festive pumpkin patch, and the event’s signature Pumpkin Flotilla, which sets sail across the Harlem Meer at twilight.

THE AFRICAN AMERICAN CULINARY QUILT AT MOFAD

Harlem Bespoke: The Museum of Food and Drink (MOFAD) had its first temporary home in Williamsburg Brooklyn back in 2015 but moved to Harlem in February to launch the African/American: Making of the Nation's Table exhibit at the Africa Center.  We finally dropped by during the Museum Mile Festival and was thoroughly impressed just by the huge quilt featuring black chefs of American history.
