We always like checking out the houses up for sale just a couple of blocks past the northern reaches of Harlem at Sylvan Terrace. Located slightly past 160th Street and St. Nicholas Avenue, the working class mews have some of the most picturesque frame houses to be found in Manhattan. Number 2 Sylvan Terrace recently had a price reduction and is currently going for $895K. The 1,650 square foot houses are on the small side at 24 x 25 foot layout (this one has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths) and a 10 foot wide garden out back. There's really not a lot else in the area and the closest train is the C at 163rd Street. The renovations on this house is one of the more balanced ones we have seen for these houses.
