☞ SEE: Around Harlem This Weekend





Run For You Life documentary on the beginnings of the New York Marathon, Friday, 7:30 PM-9:30 PM at the Maysles Cinema (343 Lenox, between 127th & 128th) with $10 general admission: LINK

On Saturday, November 6th, 2:00 PM-6:00 PM at 2037 Fifth Avenue (on the corner of 126th Street). Today's African-American men's sartorial style takes center stage as the subject of DANDY LION, a new photography exhibit curated by Shantrelle P. Lewis. DANDY LION is the second installment of a three part exhibition series at the The Gallery at Harlem PoP: LINK

Check out the  Museum of the City of New York's new Herbert Katzman exhibit of New York paintings starting Friday, November 5th. MCNY is at 1220 Fifth Avenue, between 103rd and 104th Street. Nearest subway is the 6 train at 103rd Street or 2,3 at 110th Street. www.mcny.org.

The monthly Coffee Bark happens this Saturday, November 6th from 9:00 AM-12:00 NOON at the St. Nick’s Dog Run.  Woodchips have been delivered to the dog run and the Friends of St. Nicholas Park need all the help they can get to spread them! Come to the Dog Run and celebrate the Fall with free coffee and donuts while also meeting the neighbors: LINK

Finally, the Sunday New York Marathon will happen this weekend! Popular spots to cheer on the athletes include 5th Avenue by Central Park North (110th Street) and Mount Morris Park West around 121st Street.

  2. What a wonderful day at the St. Nick's Dog Run. Such a special group of people. We all came out and helped cleanup and move woodchips into the dog run.
