☞ DWELL: 13 East 124th Street Sold in January
We're not sure what's going on with some of the recent brownstone renovations that are happening on the block just east of 5th Avenue and 124th Street but one of the un-renovated buildings facing Marcus Garvey Park just sold last month. There's a tall, 5-level brownstone-looking building at No. 13 East 124th Street (which is missing its top cornice) just exchanged ownership for $1.3 million. The 25-foot-wide building has 8,500-square-foot of space in total and is currently considered a tenement (not an SRO) based on public records. Past sales transactions shows that the entire building was purchased for $210K in 2007 and a foreclosure auction for $900K had been scheduled in 2010.
