☞ DWELL: 501 Manhattan Avenue Sold in May
Records show that one of the modest brownstones over on Manhattan Avenue sold at the end of May but there was not that much available as far as a past listing. The 15-foot-wide brownstone by West 121st Street is close to Morningside Park, express trains and the lower FDB corridor so many might find it interesting that the final transaction was complete for $600K total. On the down side, the building with the pink awning out front is listed as SRO restricted on the DOB site and permits for renovations do not exist so lets assume this one is a fixer-upper. The house is also on the small side but some of these townhouses on the block still have apartment units set up on each floor that regularly rent out.

Bit of a quirk that in Harlem, most of the brownstone buildings are still listed as SRO restricted on the DOB site. This particular place does not appear to have a certificate of occupancy though.
