☞ DWELL: 30 West 120th Street Sold in August
Public records now show that the townhouse reportedly belonging to Kareem Abdul-Jabbar at 30 West 120th Street has finally sold. The 18 foot wide, 4,668 square foot (?) landmark was up for $3.45 million over a year ago but would have several price cuts until the asking landed at $2.65 million. Record sales for the past two years have only been hovering just slightly over $2 million for a renovated Harlem townhouse on a decent block so how much did this Mount Morris Park Histroric District building finally sell for? It now appears that the new record has been reached with this sale and $2.5 million is the final number set when the deal closed at the property facing Marcus Garvey Park. Check out the other $2 million townhouses in our past post: LINK

I kind of see why this broke the 2 mm mark ... First "mint renovated" townhouse south of 125th street to sell in the last 2 years ... Park view ... Other trades have been houses that needed substantial work, had moderate finishes, or were in locations farther from amenities. A house like this in the 90s on UWS or UES would cost 5 mm ...
ReplyDeleteI wonder if Kareem is staying in Harlem?
ReplyDeleteworth it just for those art nouveau inner doors
