☞ REVIVE: Muntin Windows on 131st Street
Some facade brownstone restoration go for the basics but we noticed that the former SRO on 131st Street is going through a more detailed renovation. Located just west of Lenox Avenue on a classic brownstone block, the townhouse is currently being converted into a 2-family house and new muntin windows can be seen out front. It is unclear if there are any original details in the interior but if the renovations match the exterior, this should be a handsome house when all is done. Interestingly enough, public records show that the building was sold off for $300K last year.

Except I am not so sure 9 over 9 windows are all that authentic although heaven knows I could be wrong. Some of the buildings on my block still have what appear to be the original wavy-glass windows but they are single panes.
