Harlem Bespoke: Construction started up at 410 west 126th Street just west of Morningside Avenue in the past month and some might remember that a former carriage house was demolished last year to make way for a new building. Those who have been keeping track will also recall that a developer had planned to build a mixed-use hotel back in 2015 that would also have a residential component.
Multiple construction permits have been approved in the past 6 months for lot 408-422 West 126th Street and the above rendering on the plywood out front provides a preview of the new construction. DOB permits online state that there will be 231 dwelling units all together with 59,460 square feet being used for commercial and 68,496 square feet for residential. Total height will be at 16 floors and the above poster mentions that a 2021 complete date has been set. Check out what the site looked like before in our past post and read the original announcement on the arrival of the hotel in our past post: LINK
