DWELL: 242 WEST 132ND SOLD IN MAY

Harlem Bespoke:  One of the Harlem shells that somehow has not been been renovated in the past decade was re-listed in February and records now show had sold at the end of May.  As previously mentioned, Number 242 West 132nd Street was up on the market again with an asking set at $1.795 million last March, returned for a cool $1.35 million earlier this year and then finally closed for $1.230 million just over a week ago.   Apparently the shell sold for $1.043 million 4 years ago and then exchanged hands in 2017 for $530K.  Everything appears to have been gutted and new support beams are in place so the next owner can re-design the interior to their own specifications.  This block of West 132nd Street between 7th and 8th Avenue has been restored over the past decade and the aforementioned address is one of the last shells in the neighborhood.
