EARLY BLOOMS AT THE CONSERVATORY GARDEN 2021

Harlem Bepoke:  A couple of late snowstorms at the end of winter has kept a lot of trees from blooming this time of year but recent warm weather invited the appearance of early perennials in the neighborhood.  Most of the uptown parks have classic daffodils and crocuses popping up but some of the varieties found at the Conservatory Garden at the East Harlem side of Central Park have been quite spectacular.

A few of the yellow bud trees are finally coming about but looking on the garden grounds is where the action is really at this week.  Small crocus-like flora are the star currently in in our opinion since they look like irises and come in extraordinary colors.  The park is also quite manageable these days since only about a couple of dozen folks were walking around so drop by before the big display that will happen in April.  For more on the Conservatory Garden in full bloom at Fifth and 105th Street, check out our past post: LINK
