Harlem Bespoke: We walk through Morningside Park several times a week and the new Reclining Liberty statue usually does not have a crowd around it but apparently the weekends are a different story. Since all of the major local news outlets have now featured the public work of art, Morningside Park has become somewhat of a destination site for the rest of the city. People actually are quite courteous and patiently wait in line for a chance to get the perfect camera photo next to the statue that was also inspired by the many reclining Buddha figures in Asia. Uptowners can just visit during the week and avoid the crowds. More on the Reclining Liberty can be found in our past post:
