DWELL: 54 EDGECOMBE AVENUE TOWNHOUSE
Harlem Bespoke: A landmark brownstone in the Dorrance Brooks Historic District has recently gone up on the market for $2 million which might be one of the lower prices for a fixer upper these days. Number 54 Edgecombe faces St. Nicholas Park by 137th Street and is only a block away from the subway entrance which is all great but the buyer should check into if this is an SRO situation.

ARCHITECTURE: 46 EDGECOMBE PLANNED ALTERATIONS?
Harlem Bespoke: Number 46 Edgecome at the corner of 137th Street might have met a similar fate to the neighbor across the street but now things will probably move towards a more classical direction. Before the blocks had any landmark protection, one of the local religious establishments altered one of the facades on the block with inaccurate updates and we discovered a few years back that another house of worship as about to do the same across the street.
