Harlem Bespoke: We never got around to researching what 217 West 123rd Street originally looked like back in the day and so found this archival photo of the townhouse located just west of Adam Clayton Powell. The rare mansard roof home had been boarded up for as long as we can remember but then a mysterious fire in 2019 burned out most of the house and the rest was demolished soon after. Currently this location is just a vacant plot of land with a questionable future. A Bespoke reader sent in photos of the fire when it was happening and those images can be seen in our past post:
