Harlem Bespoke: The Zaro's Bakery on East 125th Street by Park Avenue closed doors during the pandemic back in January but has now made an announcement that everything is up and running as of today. There are not a lot of great bagel options on 125th Street so this is probably the best bet for those in the area.  Slowly things are starting to come back to normal and other stores should be opening again in the coming weeks.  More on Zaro's in Harlem can be found in our past post: LINK

REOPENING: MANNA'S ON LENOX AVENUE

Harlem Bespoke:  The Manna's location on Lenox just south of 135th Street had been shuttered for over a year now but it appears everything has reopened once again.  There was no indication if the closing would be permanent and the other address on Frederick Douglass Boulevard was still operating.  We walked by the Lenox shop this week and noticed that everything has reopened recently.  The neon sign displays that Manna's has been around since 1984 and it is good to see that this shop will carry on with the history once again.   More on the Manna's closing can be found in our past post: LINK

REOPENING: NYC MOVIE THEATERS 2021

Harlem Bespoke: The day that NYC movie theaters open again for the first time in almost a year has arrived.  We checked Fandango last night and saw that the AMC Magic Theatres on Frederick Douglass Boulevard and 124th already had showtimes up already.  Award season contenders such as Judas and the Black Messiah along with The Little Things both have showtimes.  Family friendly blockbusters are also out so there is something for everyone this weekend.  Social distancing protocols will all be in place and the limited capacity seating should probably be reserved online in advance.  Check out Fandango for more on what's playing locally: LINK

REOPENING 2021: ALISON ON LEXINGTON

Harlem Bespoke: Some of the uptown hibernating restaurants are starting to open up since spring is officially just a little over a couple of weeks away.  Alison on Lexington Avenue at the corner of East 104th Street announced that today will be the first day back for 2021 and the little eatery is already set up with outdoor dining from the past season.  Those who want to eat inside can do so with the 35 percent capacity limit and safety protocols in place.  Some might remember that this was the location for East Harlem Cafe which was one of the first boutique coffee shops in then neighborhood but shut down about 5 years ago.  With thats said, this has always been a great storefront in the neighborhood and the new eatery is one of our best recommendations in the neighborhood.  More on Alison in our past post: LINK
